Global Leadership Foundation invites you to participate in a unique leadership experience, especially designed for those leaders who:
• are exploring meaning and purpose for themselves and as leaders
• are rethinking the way in which they relate to others, their organisations and the communities in which they operate
• want to engage in work that makes a difference to the world around them
• are prepared to have their current thinking and experience around leadership challenged.
We are proud to partner with Arid Recovery, an ecosystem restoration initiative based on Kokatha country in the South Australian outback and dedicated to the restoration of Australia's arid lands. Established in 1997, the program is centred around a 123km2 fenced reserve from which all feral cats, rabbits and foxes have been eradicated. This has provided an area of complete protection into which a number of species including the Kowari, Western Quoll, Greater Bilby, Shark Bay Bandicoot and Burrowing Bettong – all locally extinct mammals – have been reintroduced.
Our work is focused on supporting the Arid Recovery research team on projects that investigate and monitor the impact of ecological restoration and better inform the Australian community on ensuring the security of Australia's arid lands and their inhabitants for the future.
"When we are presented with significant contradictory experiences, e.g. highly endangered species being located next to an expanding uranium mine, what we truly believe we value often comes into question."

About the experience
This 4 day/3 night experience not only provides the opportunity to contribute to a significant ecological project, but it offers leaders the time to critically and thoughtfully reflect on themselves and their businesses. There is a particular focus on identifying ways to evolve present day leadership practices into those that address corporate and social responsibility and the need for an environmentally sustainable world.
Our approach is to blend the work of the Arid Recovery team with a small group of leaders (no more than 8 on each experience). They will work together while reflecting on and sharing their wisdom and experience around a range of contemporary leadership themes. These might include stewardship, ecological sustainability, challenging accepted business practice, comfort with ambiguity, collaboration or competition, leading and following. Facilitators from Global Leadership Foundation will lead the experience.
"The importance of leadership and its impact changes dramatically when we are informed by the world around us as well as those with whom we work."
We ask you to reflect on a leadership challenge or opportunity that you would like to explore during this time, and come prepared to work with this during our time together.
