Our Work

Leadership experiences

Unique opportunities to explore, reflect on and gain new insights and perspectives about yourself and your impact on others and the world around you

Held in remote locations, our Leadership Experiences help participants see the horizon, both literally and metaphorically. Wherever we stand, we can see the curvature of the earth as land or sea dip away into the distance. Visiting these places in a leadership development context broadens your awareness, just as the land or seascape opens the sky. As you can see more of the world, you can also see more of yourself.

During these leadership experiences, you have time to critically and thoughtfully look at yourself and uncover ways in which you can evolve your leadership practice and make a difference to others.

This is achieved through completing a personal leadership challenge or by connecting with other leaders through environmental and socially sustainable projects.

Throughout the journey, whether it's before, during or after the experience, you will be supported and coached by the Global Leadership Foundation’s Fellows, who help you translate your  experiences into positive developments in your professional and personal life.

Remote and natural locations provide real opportunities to support leaders in finding clarity of thought and balancing their three centres of intelligence: the head, the heart and the body.

Being detached from familiar surroundings provides insight and perspective. You will return home with much clearer focus on and understanding of your leadership role and what is important to you.

We also use our Leadership Experiences as an opportunity to bring benefits to the communities we visit.

Whenever possible, we endeavour to make a sustainable difference and contribute directly to the community’s livelihood.

Our next Leadership Experience: Arid Recovery – August 2025

Join us for our Arid Recovery Leadership Experience from August 22 to 25, 2025.

We are proud to partner with Arid Recovery, an ecosystem restoration initiative based on Kokatha country in the South Australian outback and dedicated to the restoration of Australia's arid lands.

This 4-day/3-night experience provides the opportunity to contribute to a significant ecological project. At the same time, it offers leaders the time to critically and thoughtfully reflect on themselves and their businesses – particularly in identifying ways to evolve their present day leadership practice into one that addresses corporate and social responsibility and the need for an environmentally sustainable world.
