Leadership includes an obligation to individuals, communities, humanity and the planet in order to ensure the sustainability and viability of all concerned.
Successful leaders are seen to be those involved with and concerned about their impact on others and their ability to give back to their communities. Global Leadership Foundation leads by example in our stewardship role.
We are proud to be a certified B Corporation
When Global Leadership Foundation was established in 2003 we were very clear about what we wanted to achieve and the impact we wanted to have. Over time it has become clear that the benefits of working in an above-the-line, emotionally healthy way are being more widely recognised, providing the motivation for others to take this path.
Better still, there are now organisations like B Lab that make it their business to recognise such businesses and their organisational cultures. B Lab started certifying B Corporations (or B Corps) in 2006 in the USA to recognise for-profit organisations that meet rigorous standards of social and environmental performance, accountability and transparency. In some ways, B Corp certification is to business what Fair Trade certification is to coffee.
We are honoured to be part of this movement as a certified B Corporation. Global Leadership Foundation is recognised amongst a group of like-minded organisations that (in our words) are contributing to raising the emotional health levels of everyone on the planet through what they do.
Pro Bono Work
We provide pro-bono and low-bono support to a number of community programs and non-profit organisations.
We believe strongly in sharing our resources and knowledge – as volunteers, facilitators, mentors and more – with a diverse range of important projects and causes that have limited access to funding. We are committed to provide at least 5 per cent of pro-bono time each year to partner organisations. Some organisations that have benefited directly from this support include the following.
Contributing to community programs and non-profits
Contributing to community programs and non-profits. We direct our profits into a tax-deductible fund that is held and managed by Australian Communities Foundation, Australia’s oldest community foundation, that aims to “inspire and enable accessible philanthropy to build healthy resilient communities and positive social change”. Through this fund, we select and generously contribute to community programs and non-profit organisations in a structured and secure manner.
We encourage our clients, colleagues and contacts with an interest in the philanthropic work we do to consider making a donation to our fund. All contributors not only benefit by helping with this important charitable work, but they also receive the financial advantages of giving to a tax-deductible fund.

Impact report
In 2024, our work continued to focus on working with leaders and organisations in the following areas:
- emotional health and resilience
- strategic direction and governance
- engagement and support of young leaders
- social inclusion, and
- environmental sustainability.
This support is carried out through four different mechanisms:
- foundation grants
- pre-tax donations
- in-kind or pro-bono support, and
- low-bono support for more established not-for-profits and community groups.
