Supporting the development of capable, empathic and effective leaders

All our work is built on our three guiding principles of self-realisation, collaboration and stewardship.

With these as a foundation we connect with board members, executives, senior leaders and managers to support their transformation into capable, empathic and effective leaders.

We do this in a range of capacities including as mentors, coaches, facilitators and educators, depending on the specific circumstances.

Emotionally healthy leaders are more effective at leading and engaging others

We know that emotionally healthy leaders are more effective at leading and engaging others. Increasing the emotional health of an organisation’s leaders creates a better environment, which in turn helps grow the organisation’s culture and sets the groundwork for increasing the emotional health of the organisation as a whole.  

Regardless of the levels or breadth of engagement within an organisation, our focus is on vertical development of leaders at an individual level. When this occurs, leaders adopt more mindful practices in the ways they go about their work, they make more conscious choices in their actions and decision making, and they build more respectful relationships. In short, they become more emotionally healthy.

Increasing emotional health helps us move beyond our current ways of doing things

We all have defence mechanisms and views about people and situations that keep us stuck in our current ways of doing things as they feel safe and comfortable. When we let go of these fears and anxieties, becoming less self-centred, our view of the world changes and we can change the course of how we think and feel and what we are able to do.

Increasing our level of emotional health helps us reduce our degree of self-centredness and increases our behavioural freedom – our freedom to make conscious choices around our behaviour in response to a given situation.

Our approach is to work with leaders in organisations to guide them in creating emotionally healthy environments

Our engagements range from strategic planning and strategy to executive coaching to leadership development programs around emotional health, resilience, facilitation and others. We guide leaders in creating emotionally healthy environments characterised by personal responsibility, not blame, justification, denial and defensiveness.

We work with boards, and senior leaders across the private, professional, community and public sectors all over the world in a range of areas; transformational leadership and organisational change, strategic planning and development, emotional health and leadership resilience, leading through facilitating, strengthening collaboration, and board and executive mentoring and coaching

We build and strengthen leaders’ emotional health and with that their ability to understand themselves, recognise their potential and lead with authenticity. This involves learning about individual preferences and styles and the ways in which these impact a leader’s team, their organisation and the wider community.

Team Transformation

We engage and support leaders and their teams to strengthen collaboration and increase their effectiveness and contribution to organisation success. This is characterised by a shared vision, mutual accountability, genuine appreciation and feedback, and recognition of the unique strengths that each person brings to the whole.

Organisation Transformation

We focus on ensuring that the ‘way we do things around here’ – behaviours, symbols and systems – is fully aligned to the vision and agreed strategic direction of the organisation. Achieving this level of transformation often requires re-engagement of people in the organisation as well as finding new ways of operating.
