Principles that underpin the ways we work

Our guiding principles

Our guiding principles of self-realisation, collaboration and stewardship underpin the ways we work and engage with others.

Each of these principles impacts on and influences the other. As a person gains insight in one of these areas, the significance of the connection to the others becomes apparent.

Self-realisation

Leadership begins with self-realisation: understanding ourselves and recognising our potential

Self-realisation involves learning about our preferences and styles and the way in which this impacts on all aspects of our lives, particularly in the way we work with and lead others. We encourage leaders to acknowledge and explore their own authenticity, as well as understand and appreciate the differences of others.

Collaboration

Making a difference in any group, organisation or community relies on the collaboration of individuals

Engaging others to achieve a high level of collaboration is rapidly becoming a core capability for anyone who seeks to enable others to fully participate, collectively explore and create, make sound and agreed decisions and remain involved, particularly at a board and community level.  We encourage and support leaders to work together with others to achieve results.

Stewardship

Leadership includes an obligation to individuals, communities, humanity and the planet in order to ensure the sustainability and viability of all concerned.

Today’s successful leaders are seen to be those involved and concerned about their impact on others and the world around them, as well as their ability to align what they do for the ‘greater good’. Our aim is to encourage leaders to deepen their community spirit and strengthen their commitment to making a difference in the environment in which they live.
