As many of you will know, since Global Leadership Foundation was founded in 2003, our intention has been to ‘raise the emotional health levels of people on the planet’.
One way in which we have strived to achieve this has been to introduce as many people as possible to the concept of emotional health, and to provide easily accessible resources and information to those who strive to increase their level of emotional health.
We have shared much of this via regular blog posts for nearly 15 years, to the point that our collection of articles now numbers almost 250. We have also written books, including our latest, Working with Emotional Health and the Enneagram, and two of our Fellows, Susie Gregory and Bente Boe used a lot of this material to create the Mastering Emotional Health online program and app.
The other pathways in coming to know our work have been through two free online tests we have offered on our website for many years. One is a free online emotional intelligence test that Malcolm (Global Leadership Foundation Co-Founder) developed. The other is a free online Enneagram personality test created by our Enneagram ‘teachers’, Russ Hudson and Don Riso.
Over the last few months we’ve been working on improving access to all these resources and more through a complete re-build of our website, and we’re very pleased with what we’ve been able to come up with, with the help of our friends – and fellow B Corp – Harvey.
Updating our website wasn’t a decision that was made lightly. We had a lot of pride in our previous site, which had served us well for over a decade. However, trends change on the world wide web, and it was time for a refresh. And with that came the opportunity to make our existing information and resources easier to navigate, and to add some new layers of information as well.
The new site includes an expanded section on how we go about our work, and, more importantly, the thinking behind that work. In particular we have added some more detailed information about the concept of emotional health. We have also added a new free resource, our Emotional Health and Leadership booklet in PDF format.
Another new page is dedicated to our impact, including examples of some of the pro bono work we have been able to do over the years, reference to many of the wonderful organisations we’ve had the opportunity to collaborate with, and information about our charitable Global Leadership Fund.
A new Resources page brings together links to all everything I’ve mentioned, while our Insights page is a new home for all our blog post articles. We’ve improved the search in this area while also categorising the articles under themes of emotional health, working on self, working on others and working on the world.
Another way into these articles is via the ‘Featured articles’ section you’ll find at the bottom of most pages on the site. Here we have curated links to three articles that have particular relevance to the content on that page.
We’d love you to explore this site and let us know what you think. And we look forward to adding even more resources – including many more blog articles – in the months and years ahead.
